Boom Operator Killed in Industrial Accident

Posted By Industrial Injury Attorney || 9-May-2012

An Alaska industrial worker was killed after his boom truck tipped over. A boom truck is an industrial vehicle used to transport a crane. These cranes will all have different attachments. For example, on the ends of some of the cranes there is a basket to hold a worker. The man fell from the cab of the truck onto the deck of a nearby fishing boat- a 23-foot drop. The boom of the truck punctured the deck of the vessel and the man was killed. The United States Occupational Safety and Health Administration is currently conducting an investigation to determine the cause of death.

The boom truck may have been defective, which would warrant a wrongful death claim on behalf of the surviving family of the man that was killed. If you were injured or your loved one was killed in a crane accident like this then be sure to call an industrial injury lawyer from our firm. At Arnold & Itkin, our firm is passionate about defending the rights of workers who are injured on the job. If this describes you, contact an industrial injury attorney from our firm today.
