Case Filed for Rig Worker with Broken Neck

Posted By Arnold & Itkin || 3-Apr-2017

When oil rig accidents occur, there’s usually multiple parties who are potentially at fault. Never has that been truer than our newest case. Arnold & Itkin has filed a lawsuit against Techniques International Corporation; Centennial Resource Production, LLC; Premier Directional Drilling, L.P.; Diversified Well Logging, LLC; and the rig managers for their role in allowing a man to suffer permanent injuries.

Our client, a Louisiana resident, was working on an oil rig in Pecos, TX when his head was crushed by a pipe filled with dried mud. The impact broke his neck, requiring emergency surgery. The pipe fell for a simple reason: we believe the defendants listed above didn’t maintain high enough safety standards for the rig. The rig owners, the rig manufacturers, the drilling company, and the managers on the rig are all responsible for keeping workers safe. When they fail, workers pay a steep price.

Safety is always more affordable than the loss of human comfort or life. That’s the idea our firm was built on. We look forward to holding the defendants above accountable for their failures, and we hope to give our client the financial and medical support he needs for the rest of his life.

Client's portion of total recovery may be subject to Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement claims, Medicare/Medicaid liens or other third-party claims or liens. These verdicts and settlements are intended to be representative of cases handled by Arnold & Itkin, LLP. These listings are not a guarantee or prediction of the outcome of any other claims.
