Oil States Employee Killed in Industrial Accident

Posted By Industrial Injury Attorney || 5-Jun-2012

A Houma, Louisiana man was killed in an industrial accident this past Monday, according to sheriff's deputies in Terrebonne Parish. Police arrived at the scene and found first responders providing the man with medical attention. The man was a long-time employee of Oil States, an international offshore and land oil and gas company. The incident occurred while the man was working in the fabrication shop when a wall collapsed and fell on him. He was pronounced dead at the hospital. This type of industrial accident is particularly tragic because it could have been avoided.

This wall was clearly lacking proper maintenance. There is no excuse for a wall to completely collapse, unsolicited. If your loved one was killed in this type of accident, you can seek a wrongful death claim on their behalf. This claim was created because of the loophole in personal injury law when it was noted that the deceased cannot file injury claims for themselves. Contact Arnold & Itkin today for experienced representation filing this type of claim.
