About Oil Well Explosions & Injuries
Oil well explosions are somewhat common in industrial atmospheres, as oil is combustible. Chemical reactions or the presence of an open flame can suddenly lead to a terrifying explosion which can then result in a fire. In some situations, the explosions can cause air pollution or release harmful chemicals that can affect locals in surrounding areas. Workers at these industrial locations are also often at risk for serious injury or even death because of the flammability of the atmosphere where they are working.
