Arnold & Itkin LLP recently filed suit against 3M as a result of its defective manufacturing of a fall protection harness. A husband and father trusted that 3M provided him with a fall protection harness that was free of defects. Unfortunately, while working at an elevated height at a Whirlpool facility, the lanyard attached to his harness broke, and he fell to his death.
Falls are one of the most frequent causes of death for workers in American industry today. Harness manufacturers hold our workers' lives in their hands in the most serious, literal sense. Our loved ones and their families deserve better. This death was preventable, and we're determined to make sure the company responds accordingly—both with regard to our client's loss and with regard to the harnesses 3M produces in the near future. This doesn't have to happen ever again.
Arnold & Itkin is proud to represent his wife and children in giving them the justice they deserve, as well as making sure that no other family has to suffer the devastating consequences of defective fall protection equipment. This suit was filed in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
